Don't know how to begin ?
Although scan collecting is extremely easy, IT IS HARD TO FIGURE
OUT HOW TO START !
Many new to this mistakenly believe that scan collecting is a rigidly
structured discipline with lots of rules and guidelines.
The fact is that the amount of structure and organization is entirely up
to the individual.
If you have more than two folders on your computer that contain scanned
photographs of women, men or comics .... YOU ARE A SCAN COLLECTOR!
Many start out just this way. They discover that they have accumulated a
large number of scans over time and begin to realize that with a little organization, the
pics can be better enjoyed, and shared with others.
The beginning collector then discovers that there are MANY others that
have done just that. Others that have developed the tools and resources necessary to
facilitate collecting and organization of these pics.
Unfortunately these individuals tend to specialize in their area of
expertise. They use specialized language and make reference to concepts that are foreign
to the newcomer.
The beginning collector then realizes that he wants to begin but JUST
CANT FIGURE OUT HOW ALL OF THE PIECES FIT TOGETHER!
The sections contained here are intended to give the beginner the
information necessary to begin, maintain and enjoy a private collection of scanned
photographs.
